Bringing Definition
There has been a longing in my heart to pull away from the business of life and focus on the Lord. What does it mean to be in love with Jesus? What does it mean to be in an intimate relationship with God…. Such a relationship where I respond to the sound of his voice… such a place where I am secure and confident in His love towards me. There is a place where striving has ended and I am at rest in the truth that destiny has come upon me because God is faithful to his’ promises… He is faithful to the one HIS’ heart loves… I am the one his heart loves. He will finish the work He has started in Me. I can be confident that neither height, nor depth, nor anything in all of Creation can separate me from His’ Love.
To know the thoughts of the one who loves me… to be consumed with a love that spoke the world into existence… a love that then in turn gave it all up to gain my heart, my salvation, my freedom.
Holy Spirit there is a longing deep inside of who I am to hear your voice speak to me in the quiet. So I will pull away from the business of life and wait on you. I will breathe in your presence and be transformed into your likeness. For Christianity was never meant to be complicated… You just wanted ALL OF ME… So here I am, surrendering once again to your pursuit. I have heard the faint whisper in my heart, the whisper that was threatened to be drowned out by the worries, frustrations, and business of life. Yet I will esteem this still small voice…this faint whisper above all of the other voices. I will cling to what it has said about me… I will rejoice in its truth. The voice of God is what I long for… therefore I will run to the secret and wait for the One I love to Speak to my heart.
There is a call to the bride once again to be intimate with God. There is a call to know the thoughts of God, the ways of His Spirit, and the desires of His heart. It is so easy to get caught up in the business of life and forget that at the end of the day, all we were created for, is to know the Lord. Take time today to know God again in the Secret… he is calling to your heart… he is desperate to hear your voice… He wants to love on you face to face. Jesus, we say yes to your pursuit of our hearts and lives! You can have it all!!
